Soulisquoy Printmakers was founded in 1982 by a group of professional printmakers dedicated to providing open access facilities for printmaking and its promotion in Orkney.

Soulisquoy Members
Soulisquoy has a wide membership that includes professional printmakers and artists who exhibit both locally and internationally. We also welcome keen enthusiasts with no prior arts training or experience to take part in workshops and develop their skills. Graduates and visiting artists are welcomed to access the studio. Rates can be found here.
Soulisquoy is dedicated to creating access to printmaking for all, including young people through community outreach projects and workshops.
Soulisquoy Activities
Soulisquoy Printmakers aims to deliver a varied program enabling engagement and involvement from a wide section of the local community. Activities include: participatory workshops; hosting and curating exhibitions with local galleries; community outreach and partnerships with local schools and educational providers.
Governance and Funding
Soulisquoy Printmakers is overseen by a board of volunteer trustees comprised of passionate local professionals from across a variety of sectors including creative industries, arts education, voluntary sector, legal and finance. The Board meet regularly and host an annual AGM for all interested parties to attend.
For over 40 years Soulisquoy has successfully presented workshop sessions, residencies, master classes, exhibitions and folio projects, all project-funded through successful application to arts-funding bodies, including Creative Scotland, Henry Moore Foundation, Orkney Islands Council, Heritage Lottery, LEADER Programme and Highlands and Islands Enterprise.
