Scarpa’s Green by Brandon Logan

Brandon Logan is a painter who grew up in Orkney and has established his studio in the WASPS complex in Stromness.

He is fascinated by the simple transformation of liquid, fluid paint to a solid surface and the relationship of colour, form and pattern.

Working from an initial watercolour sketch, the finished print involves a screenprinted layer of pink stripes, followed by a woodcut relief print of vertical stripes, with a third layer of screen printed gold blocks.
