For their annual exhibition of new work, Soulisquoy’s printmakers have taken the broad themes of mapping, journeying and viewpoint/s as the basis from which to create a wide and diverse collection of limited-edition prints.

Several texts were provided to provoke and stimulate ideas with members free to interpret these in their own individual way, some literal and others more abstract and conceptual.

The display includes work by established printmakers and those new to printmaking, emerging through Soulisquoy’s participatory programme – longstanding members exhibiting alongside those who have joined recently. It reflects the main printing techniques available at Soulisquoy’s studio, etching, collagraph, engraving, relief and screen printing.

The exhibition also launches a new limited edition print by Megumi Barrington Uenoyama, forming part of an on-going series of commissions, initiated in 2022/23 as part of Soulisquoy’s forty years celebrations.
